Active Employee

An Active Employee is any regular, full-time employee hired to perform duties for the Employer on a continuing basis, who is scheduled to work at least twenty (20) hours per week, who is subject to the control of the Employer, who is reported on the Employer's payroll records as a common law employee, and who receives a regular stated compensation other than a pension, severance pay, retainer, or fee under contract. "Employee" shall not include student, seasonal, and intermittent employees. "Employee" shall include an individual on a Leave of Absence.

GRS has two convenient locations at 437 Old Peachtree Road in Suwanee and 53 Gwinnett Drive in Lawrenceville.  Normal business hours for the Gwinnett Retirement Services Department are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with GRS counseling appointments scheduled Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Active Employees are encouraged to keep personal information such as name, email address, mailing address, and phone number current.  If you need to make changes to your GRS related information, fill out the applicable form and mail or fax to Gwinnett Retirement Services Department at 437 Old Peachtree Road NW, Suwanee, GA 30024, fax 678-301-6275.
