The Office of Community Schools is dedicated to fostering meaningful partnerships between the school, families, and the local community to create a supportive, engaging, and enriching environment for all students. We aim to transform schools into vibrant community hubs that provide comprehensive support, resources, and opportunities for students and families. By co-designing intentional solutions to school-identified needs, we tailor our initiatives to the unique challenges and aspirations of our community.
A goal of the Community Schools strategy is to ensure that all students have equal access to opportunities and resources as outlined in the district’s strategic plan, Our Blueprint for the Future.
Community Schools deliver a variety of services and program opportunities across three main areas
Community School Coordinators
Community School Coordinators play a vital role in the successful implementation of these initiatives.
Each Community School has a dedicated Coordinator responsible for facilitating cluster after-school activities and ensuring that programs meet the unique needs of the students and their families. Coordinators act as the primary point of contact for families and community partners, helping to coordinate a comprehensive plan of support and resources. They also work to maximize the use of facilities and foster strong relationships between the school, families, and the community. To see what enrichment opportunity is available at a school near you, contact your local Coordinator.
