Gwinnett County Public Schools honors Outstanding Senior Athletes

     Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) has named the recipients of the 2023-24 Outstanding Senior Athlete Award. The 40 honorees were selected for their athletic achievements, hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship throughout their high school careers.

     GCPS Director of Athletics Jason Holcombe is proud of the honorees. “It truly is an honor to see each school’s honorees and learn about the amazing things they have accomplished while attending GCPS,” Holcombe shares. “They are not just outstanding athletes, but also incredible students who represent their different communities proudly.”

     In addition to being recognized for their achievements at the district’s annual Outstanding Senior Athletes banquet, several student-athletes were also awarded scholarships by GCPS partners.

     “We believe that GCPS has the best and most well-rounded student-athletes not only in the state of Georgia but also in the country. The banquet is just a small way to reward them for their service as student-athletes and wish them well as they begin their journey to their post-secondary options,” Holcombe adds.
