Just in Time (JIT)

Just-in-Time training provides novice school leaders (years one and two) the opportunity to learn skills and leverage tools to increase their effectiveness and accelerate the learning process.

To meet the vision, mission, and goals outlined in their local school plan for improvement (LSPI) and the district's Blueprint for the Future, novice principals and assistant principals engage in small group learning on leadership topics, such as:

•  Providing effective feedback
•  Mapping, monitoring, and measuring school improvement
•  Supporting teacher and staff retention
•  School and community engagement
•  Building collaborative learning teams (CLT)

To promote a collaborative learning community, Just-in-Time trainings are facilitated by veteran school leaders and district personnel, and include breakout sessions, panel discussions, case study analysis, and problems of practice. The learning from Just-in-Time trainings is designed for immediate application to school leaders' work.
