At its regular July business meeting, the Gwinnett County Board of Education appointed two new principals. Lin Thornton, an assistant principal at North Gwinnett High School, has been tapped to serve as the new principal at Jones Middle School. She will take the place of Memorie Reesman who will be the principal at the new Seckinger High School which is scheduled to open in August 2022. Dr. Brooks Baggett, assistant principal at Northbrook Middle School, will be the new principal at the school. He will take the place of Dr. Keith Thompson, who now serves as an assistant superintendent of middle schools.
