Collins Hill High School Instructional Technology and Innovation Coach Meredith White has been named the recipient of the 2024 Southern Conference on Language Teaching (SCOLT) Founders Award. The honor recognizes individuals who have contributed substantially to SCOLT and embody the organization's core values.
“I am honored to be the recipient of this year’s Founder’s Award and awestruck at the company I get to keep, both in the SCOLT region in general and among the previous recipients,” Meredith White shares.
As a dedicated member of SCOLT, White has demonstrated a commitment to advancing language education and fostering a supportive community of educators. Her work aligns with SCOLT’s mission to promote universal World Language education and inspire excellence in teaching. “Getting to work with the incredible educators across our region has been the pleasure of my career, and I am so grateful to SCOLT for the opportunities and support,” White adds. “I look forward to many more years together in hopes that I can give back to the profession even a fraction of what’s been generously given to me in the name of enjoyable, engaging, equitable language teaching and learning.”
