Five Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) students have qualified for the 2024 Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Leadership Conference after winning the FBLA state competition. The GCPS students will join their peers from around the nation for the conference, where they will participate in competitive leadership events, share their successes, and learn new ideas about shaping their career future through workshops and exhibits.

Central Gwinnett High School Team Advisor and Business Education Teacher, Gerald Williams, is proud of the students. “Competing and placing in the competition meant the world to the kids, validating their hard work and dedication,” Williams shares. “Their commitment and determination shone brightly as they overcame challenges and pushed themselves to excel. This experience instilled a sense of pride and accomplishment that will inspire them to continue pursuing their passions with vigor.”

The U.S. Departments of Education and Labor recognize this Career and Technical Student Organization as integral to a co-curricular approach to business and leadership education. FBLA aims to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.
