Gwinnett County Public Schools’ (GCPS) Communications and Media Relations and GCPS TV teams were recognized with several awards at the Georgia School Public Relations Association (GSPRA) Annual Conference. The awards acknowledge communications excellence in writing, photography, videography/electronic media, and image/identity package design produced during the school year 2022-23. GCPS earned 13 awards, including three “best in state” honors. GCPS also earned seven Gold Awards, three Silver Awards, and one Bronze Award. GCPS’s Chief Engagement Officer Melissa Laramie says the honors are well deserved. “I am exceptionally proud of our Engagement Office team for their outstanding achievements and for winning multiple Georgia School Public Relations Association awards,” Laramie shares. “The team’s dedication to fostering two-way, meaningful communication and engagement reflects their professional excellence and unwavering commitment to building strong connections within our community. These awards celebrate the impactful work that propels us forward together as a district in building the bridge from empathy to excellence.”
