In an effort to “grow our own,” Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) will host the 8th annual Future Teacher “Signing Day” celebration on April 9, 2024, honoring all GCPS students who are planning to pursue an education degree after high school. All GCPS students interested in teaching are invited to attend with their families to learn about the world of teaching and the many opportunities associated with becoming a Gwinnett educator.

The evening of fun and networking includes:

• Scholarship presentation
• Networking with college and university representatives, GCPS Directors, and professional organizations
• Guest Speaker: Jenna Cloninger, 2025 GCPS Teacher of the Year
• Announcements of educator-related scholarships 

 The event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Board Room of the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center, 437 Old Peachtree Road NW, Suwanee.
