Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) Parent Mentors invite parents of students receiving special education services at all levels (elementary, middle, and high school) to attend a presentation titled “Behavior Strategies to Support Your Child” on Tuesday, December 5. This presentation will provide parents with behavior strategies to employ at home to assist in consistent behavior interventions and strategies across the home and school environments. GCPS Behavior Specialists Katherine Eisner and Jessica Philips will cover the following:
- Identifying behaviors that are perceived as problematic.
- The four primary functions of behavior.
- Tips and techniques for addressing behaviors.
Parents may choose either an in-person or virtual session to attend.
