Nearly 200 Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) students have been named semifinalists for the 2023 Governor’s Honors Program. The Georgia Governor’s Honors Program (GHP) is a residential summer program for gifted and talented HS students who will be rising juniors and seniors during the program. The program offers instruction that is significantly different from the typical high school classroom and that is designed to provide students with academic, cultural, and social enrichment necessary to become the next generation of global critical thinkers, innovators, and leaders.

A total of 187 GCPS students were named semifinalists. Those students will join other semifinalists from around the state for an event at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia on March 11. Finalists for the program will be named April 7. The 2023 GHP program will be held June 18 – July 15, at Georgia Southern University.
