Nearly 30 Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) students have qualified for the 2024 SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC) after placing 1st or 2nd in the SkillsUSA State Leadership Conference. SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers, and industry representatives working together to ensure that America has a skilled workforce. The national event brings together thousands of students, instructors, business partners, and administrators to celebrate the accomplishments of those preparing for careers in trade, technical, and skilled service occupations. It is also an opportunity for students to showcase their talents and skills on a national stage. This year’s NLSC will be held June 24-28 in Atlanta, Ga., where more than 6,500 students will participate in 115 competitions during the weeklong event.
