Divya Tiwary, a sophomore at Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology, has been selected as a member of the 2022 Youth Advisory Committee for the Georgia School Boards Association (GSBA)! GSBA’s Youth Advisory Council (YAC) allows selected high school students to provide meaningful input to school board members, enhance their leadership skills, and contribute to their community by making a positive impact for students across Georgia. The 10 YAC members will explore topics such as school climate and safety, social and emotional needs of today’s students, and college and career opportunities. Coordinators for the advisory group say that Divya’s written application and video submission reflected the type of engaging, hardworking, and insightful student that GSBA was searching for in its selection process. “We look forward to the valuable contributions Divya will provide to not only the council but to board members across the state.”
