At its regularly scheduled business meeting on March 21, 2024, the Gwinnett County Board of Education (BOE) approved the appointment of a new Executive Director of Teaching and Learning for Enrichment and Support Programs, Division of Teaching and Learning and a new Executive Director of Teaching and Learning – Core Programs, Division of Teaching and Learning.
Dr. Jon M. Valentine has been named Executive Director of Teaching and Learning – Enrichment and Support Programs for Gwinnett County Public Schools. Dr. Valentine currently serves as Director of Foreign Language in the Division of Teaching and Learning. Dr. Anna Mary W. Smith has been named Executive Director of Teaching and Learning – Core Programs. Dr. Smith currently serves as Director of Language Arts and Literacy in the Division of Teaching and Learning. Both Executive Directors have been assigned to their new roles due to reorganization.
