At its regularly scheduled business meeting on February 8, 2024, the Gwinnett County Board of Education (BOE) approved the appointments of new principals at Cedar Hill Elementary School and Discovery High School.
Israel “Tony” A. Patino has been named the new principal at Cedar Hill Elementary. Patino currently serves as assistant principal at Chesney Elementary School. He replaces Dr. Jose M. DeJesus, who recently retired. Robert W. Maffeo has been named the new principal at Discovery High School. Maffeo currently serves as assistant principal at Collins Hill High School. He replaces Marci Sledge, who is retiring.
