At its regularly scheduled business meeting on August 17, 2023, the Gwinnett County Board of Education approved the appointment of the district’s new Deputy Superintendent of Operational Services, Deputy Superintendent of Academic Services, Chief Accountability Officer, and Executive Director of Early Learning and School Readiness. The new appointments are as follows:
- Mr. George “Walt” Martin has been reclassified as Deputy Superintendent of Operational Services. Mr. Martin currently serves as Chief Business Operations Officer.
- Dr. Nikki G. Mouton has been named Deputy Superintendent of Academic Services. Dr. Mouton currently serves as Executive Director of Continuous Improvement at Frisco Independent Schools, Texas.
- Dr. Jewelle L. Harmon has been named Chief Accountability Officer. Dr. Harmon recently served as Chief Accountability Officer at Kent School District, Washington.
- Ms. Kim Holland has been reclassified to Executive Director of Early Learning and School Readiness. Mrs. Holland currently serves as Director of Early Learning and School Readiness.
