At its regularly scheduled business meeting on April 27, 2023, the Gwinnett County Board of Education (BOE) approved the appointment of new principals at GIVE Center West High School, Lawrenceville Elementary School, Nesbit Elementary School, and South Gwinnett High School.
- Dr. Kelly A. Walter has been named the new principal at GIVE Center West High School. Dr. Walter currently serves as Assistant Principal at Berkmar High School. She replaces Donna Bishop who is retiring at the end of the school year.
- Ms. Candace V. Haynes has been named the new principal at Lawrenceville Elementary School. Ms. Haynes currently serves as Assistant Principal at Winn Holt Elementary. She replaces Grelauris Calcano who has been named Director of Leadership Development.
- Ms. Nakia D. Miller has been named the new principal at Nesbit Elementary School. Ms. Miller currently serves as Assistant Principal at Magill Elementary. She replaces Dr. Marketa Myers, who has been named Director of Leadership Development.
- Mr. Rodney D. Jordan has been named the new principal at South Gwinnett High School. Mr. Jordan currently serves as Principal at Lovejoy High School, Clayton County Public Schools. He replaces Dorothy Jarrett who is retiring at the end of the school year.
