Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) proudly announces that 24 schools have been recognized as 2022-2023 National Beta Schools of Distinction, and 28 Schools have been recognized as 2022-2023 National Beta Schools of Merit.
National Beta School of Distinction is an honor for Beta clubs striving towards academic achievement, exemplary character, demonstrated leadership, and service to others. With an ongoing quest to instill these qualities in more students, the National Beta School of Distinction award is designed to award those schools that show an increase of 10% or more in membership from the previous school year. This year, only 2,643 Beta Clubs across the country received this award. In comparison, the National Beta School of Merit award honors a club’s dedication and commitment to academic excellence. To achieve this honor, a school must include members from all eligible grade levels in its Beta club. The National Beta School of Merit award was given to 3,583 schools nationwide.
Each school will receive a National Beta banner to display as a symbol of their accomplishment.
