A Peek Inside the new Trickum Middle School Addition
The GCPS Facilities and Operations division recently completed the construction of a three-story addition at Trickum Middle School, seamlessly integrating with the existing building and adding 25 classrooms, all funded by E-SPLOST dollars.
The additional classrooms feature state-of-the-art design and provide space for increased student collaboration, and the addition also provides Trickum Middle School with computer science classrooms, a chemistry lab, and a music technology lab, adding capacity for 500 students. Additionally, the building addition includes two additional stairwells and three new exterior exits, allowing for swift evacuation in the event of an emergency.
Along with the additional construction, renovation work was performed to provide Trickum Middle School with a redesigned Tech Ed classroom, an expanded Band room, and enhancements to the existing Art room. Trickum is also enjoying a renovated STEM lab and a brand-new outdoor classroom, providing students with even greater opportunities to explore, create, and discover. The images shown provide a closer look at how E-SPLOST dollars are put to work in our school district to support our learning communities.
