On Friday, September 24, Mill Creek High School will host the 4th Annual Service Appreciation Night prior to its football game against Grayson High School. The Service Appreciation Night is an evening dedicated to honoring both past and present members of the military, law enforcement, paramedics, EMTs, firefighters, as well as federal, state, and local emergency service employees.
The event will feature a variety of law enforcement, firefighter, and military equipment, which will be available for children and community members to view and tour between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Shortly before kickoff of the game, the U.S. Army Silver Wing parachute team will make an appearance, descending onto the 50-yard line of the football field carrying the game ball, an American flag, and a POW flag.
All pregame activities are free to the public. A hospitality tent will be available for all first responders, members of the military, and their respective families. In addition, admission to the game is free for members of the military and first responders. Plans are to recognize these community heroes during the game.
