Additionally, the GCPS Foundation sponsors the New Teacher Welcome Expo, held immediately after Convocation. This optional event invites community partners in offering additional services as you transition to the district, including healthcare providers, housing, banks, childcare providers, community organizations, as well as GCPS employee services. District Induction will consist of an introduction to Gwinnett’s Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS), Instructional Resources, Quality-Plus Teaching Strategies (QPTS), and your incredible district support teams. Professional dress is required for both days.

For your participation in the district-wide orientation, you will receive staff development hours on your transcript and an honorarium of $200. Should you have any additional questions regarding New Teacher Orientation, please contact new.teacher.orientation@gcpsk12.org. All Local School Orientation questions should be directed to your principal.
