On Tuesday, September 26, Gwinnett County Parent Mentors, in collaboration with Gwinnett County Public Schools’ (GCPS) Special Education Department, will host: “Understanding Your Child as a Learner.” This session is highly recommended for parents of students at all levels (elementary, middle, and high school). Presented by Kathryn Hanson, GCPS Coordinator of Psychological Services, this presentation will provide an overview of understanding psychoeducational evaluation reports. It will include a review of areas commonly assessed in school evaluations, such as intellectual functioning, psychological processing, adaptive behavior, and social/emotional development.
