Gwinnett County Public Schools
School safety comes first in GCPS

In Gwinnett County Public Schools, the first thing every visitor encounters is a safety-focused vestibule and identification system. Vestibules are double glass door entry areas with bullet-resistant glass film at the designated single point of entry for schools. All visitors must ring a bell, show a government-issued ID, and be screened via Raptor against the National Sex Offenders Registry. Only after the visitor has been screened are they issued a pass to enter the school.

For more information about school security, visit Creating and Maintaining a Safe Environment in GCPS or the school safety FAQs.

GCPS has upgraded the anonymous tip line options

The district has partnered with P3 Campus to provide an anonymous tip tool. You now have three ways to contact us without disclosing your identity:

  • Go to www.p3campus.com/5105 and complete the tip form.
  • Download the GCPS Tips app for your Apple or Android device and use it to communicate with school leaders any time you become aware of something you think they should know! You do not have to provide your name.
  • The GCPS Tip Line is also available. Call 770-822-6513 or text GCPS to 738477 to help keep our schools safe!

If you believe someone may be considering self-harm, if you think someone may be carrying a weapon, drugs, or alcohol on school property, or if you believe that you or someone you know have been the target of violence or threat of violence, or have witnessed violent or threatening conduct by another person, please let us know using any of the available resources.
