Seckinger High School’s Literary Trio finished first at the state level in the category of girls’ trio at this year’s Georgia High School Association (GHSA) State Literary Championship. On March 18, the 8AAAA Region Champion Literary trio from Seckinger High School competed at Warner Robins High School. The GHSA state competition included students from high schools throughout Georgia participating in essay writing, extemporaneous speaking (international and domestic), dramatic interpretation, and both girls’ and boys’ solos and trios.
Mastery Choral Ensemble students Eun Grace Kang, Phoebe Yoon, and Kaylee Oh, along with their Literary Coach, Stephanie Archer, earned both the regional and state championship titles in their first year of competition. “I could not be happier with the hard work, dedication and talent displayed in these three singers which awarded them the results achieved,” says Coach Archer. Seckinger High School’s Athletic Director, Kelli Poff, says, “We are beyond proud of our Literary team, girls’ trio and coach for their dedication and hard work. They represented our school at the highest level and truly embodied the Seckinger Standard.”
