  • Brookwood's Class of 2023 had 858 graduates, the largest among Gwinnett County Public Schools. Graduates included 261 Advanced Placement (AP) Scholars, 23 Dual Enrollment Scholars, 382 Honor Graduates, and 159 graduating with a 4.0 GPA, and 58 National Honor Society graduates. Additionally, there were six National Merit Semifinalists, four Presidential Scholars, a Posse Scholar, and a Quest Bridge scholar. During their sophomore or junior year summers, 13 participated in the Governor's Honors Program.

  • Brookwood surpassed its goal to raise $1 million for charity within 10 years by reaching the milestone in less than nine, despite fundraising opportunities during the pandemic.

  • Brookwood Marching Band performed at the January 2023 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California.

  • The Academic Team qualified for Nationals, largely by winning first place in two individual events by scoring highest in the National Geography Bee and the U.S. History national qualifying exams.

  • Brookwood E-sports and Girls Basketball won 2023 State Championships. E-sports for the second consecutive year, and Girls Basketball for its first in the school's history.

  • Brookwood Science Olympiad won the region championship for the 13th time since 2008. At State, the Broncos were two points behind the top school, after winning four individual events, six second-place ribbons, and three in third. The state runner-up spot qualified them for nationals, a level at which Brookwood has competed more than 10 times.

  • All-State in Fine Arts: 10 Chorus students, 5 Band students, 4 Orchestra students, 4 Visual Arts students, 3 Music Technology students. Theater earned the highest level of Gold Honor Troupe and won the Georgia Thespians Tech Challenge.

  • Brookwood Athletics had four County Champions: Girls Cross Country (19th title), Boys Cross Country (18th title), Girls Swim and Dive (9th consecutive), Girls Track and Field (7th in 10 years). We added nine Region Champions: Volleyball, Boys Cross Country, Girls Cross Country, Girls Basketball (threepeat), Competitive Cheerleading (8th consecutive), Boys Tennis, Girls Tennis, Boys Soccer, Girls Track and Field (11th consecutive).

  • Brookwood's Georgia Odyssey of the Mind won the state championship.

  • German teacher, Mirela Kimbrough, won the Teacher of the Year Award from the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG). Three students passed the prestigious DSD2 Germany exam, and one received the National German Exam Scholarship for scoring in the 99% on the National German Exam. Four juniors received a Halle Foundation Scholarship for a summer immersion program in Germany.

  • Brookwood High is a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school. PBIS encourages positive behaviors with recognition for students who exhibit appropriate school conduct.
