  • Dacula Middle School (DMS) Junior Leadership Corp hosted the GCPS Raider Competition with over 300 students & family members in attendance while placing 2nd & 3rd in multiple events. Eighth Grade Students competed in the 44th Atlanta Regional District Youth Toastmasters Competition and placed 2nd & 3rd among all middle schools in the Atlanta Region. The JLC Color Guard presented at the May Gwinnett County School Board Meeting.
  • DMS has 160 7th and 8th grade Band students perform in the GMEA District 13 Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE) and received an overall Superior rating for their performance.

  • Eighty Chorus students from three grade levels performed in the GMEA District 13 Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE). For the first time, students received Superior ratings in Sight Reading

  • Both 7th and 8th-grade orchestra groups received straight Superior ratings from GMEA District 13 Large Group Performance Evaluations 2023. Of the Solo and Ensemble Performance Evaluations, 23 orchestra students performed, and they all received Superior ratings this year.

  • DMS ROBOFALCONS First Lego League Teams competed in the Regional Tournament, the Superregionals, and the State competition. Teams won the following awards during the season: Championship Award, Core Values Award, and Robot Design Award.

  • DMS Stock Market Club boasted the highest portfolio averages in GCPS.

  • Ten 6th Grade Chorus students and eighteen 6th and 7th grade students were selected to participate in District 13 Honor Chorus in Athens, GA (middle treble)

  • DMS student participated in the Daughters of the American Revolution essay contest and won the top prize certificate, medal, and cash prize.

  • Dacula Middle School's FBLA Club had seven students who placed in the Top 2-10 at the State Leadership Conference. One student placed 1st in the state and moved on to FBLA National Competition. Five students placed in the top 20 in the state.

  • Dacula Middle School offers seven academic and connections courses that offer 8th-grade students the opportunity to earn Carnegie Unit credit toward high school.

  • Dacula Middle School was recognized by the Georgia Department of Education with Operational status for its implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) in the last school year. PBIS encourages positive behaviors with recognition for students who exhibit appropriate school conduct.
