- 25 Shiloh Middle students advanced to compete in the regional science fair. Shiloh Middle School had three students that advanced to the state science fair and came in first in their category. These three students have been nominated for the 2023 Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge. The Thermo Fisher JIC (formerly known as the Broadcom MASTERS) is the premier Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) competition for 6th-8th grade students in the United States. Only the top 10% of middle school projects nationwide are invited to participate in this national competition.
- Shiloh Middle School had nine Dual Language Immersion Spanish students earn the prestigious Bilingual Global Seal of Literacy. This was the most of any DLI school in the county.
- Our SMS Student Council attended the GASC State Convention and won two state awards for Outstanding Patriotism & Citizenship and Outstanding School Service project.
- Shiloh MegaMindz First Lego League team won two top awards at the Gwinnett County Regional Tournament for the Core Values Award and the Robot Performance Award. They advanced to the Super Regional FLL Tournament.
- Shiloh Middle School came in 1st place and 3rd place in the soccer Special Olympics Tournament and placed 3rd Overall.
- Shiloh Middle School’s fine arts programs excelled at the county Large Group Performance Evaluations. Orchestra received all superior ratings. Chorus received Superior & Excellent ratings, and Band received all Excellent ratings.
- Shiloh Middle School received a $10,000 Reading is Fundamental Grant to purchase over 2,500 new books to be distributed to families schoolwide.
- Our Junior Leadership Corp (JLC) won 1st place in the Gwinnett County JLC Raiders Competition. Our JLC Raiders dominated the competition and won the following awards: 1st Place Overall, 1st Place Tug-of-war Team, 1st Place 2.5 Mile Team Run, 2nd Place Medicine Ball Relay Team, 2nd Place Ruck Sack Relay, 2nd Place Obstacle Course Relay Team, 2nd Place Water Can Relay Team, 3rd Place Sit-up Team Competition.
- Shiloh Middle sent two students to participate in the Georgia HOSA Fall Leadership Conference; Junior Health Occupations of America (HOSA) students attended the Georgia HOSA Fall Leadership Conference in Athens, Georgia. The students presented in the areas of Public Health and Health Career Exploration.
- Shiloh Middle School sent seven students to the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Competition, where they participated in the areas of Exploring Economics, Exploring Computer Science, Running an Effective Meeting, Leadership, and Social Media Concepts. One student placed 9th in the state for FBLA Mission & Pledge.
- Shiloh Middle is a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school. PBIS encourages positive behaviors with recognition for students who exhibit appropriate school conduct.
