All students at Freeman's Mill Elementary School get the opportunity to take a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and Computer Science special. In these classes, they learn the building blocks of how STEM works together, laying the foundation for further coursework that they will be able to take in middle school.

Freeman's Mill Elementary School provides all students the opportunity to engage in a school-wide club. Clubs include cheerleading, sewing, soccer, drawing, cooking, robotics, and more.

Freeman's Mill Elementary School celebrated our first ever International Night. We were excited to provide our diverse community a wonderful night to celebrate what makes our school special. We included vendors from our school family as well as over 40 families that hosted booths that taught about their country and the traditions they celebrate.

Freeman's Mill Elementary School offers Robotics to students in grades 3-5. The team participated in the First Lego League Robotics Competition and won 1st place in Lego Robot Performance at the Mountain View Regional Competition.

Freeman's Mill Elementary School had 40 students participate in Tapestry of Arts and 51 students participate in the Mountain View Art Show. These programs allow students to showcase their artwork outside of the classroom setting.

Freeman's Mill Elementary School provides students in 4th and 5th grade the opportunity to participate in Chorus. 67 students participated in Fall Chorus and 69 students participated in Spring Chorus. All the students had an opportunity to perform at a school event as well as sing the National Anthem at a local athletic event.

Freeman's Mill Elementary School had 4 students selected to participate in the Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) Honor Chorus. These students were able to study with a master choral clinician for a day and then participate in a performance for the community.

Freeman's Mill Elementary participated in the GCPS STEM Fair, and a 5th grade student was awarded first place in her category.

Freeman's Mill Elementary School staff, students and parents were involved in several service projects during the school year, including United Way, Relay for Life, American Heart Association, and a canned food drive to support local food pantries.

The Freeman's Mill Elementary School PTA sponsored family and community events throughout the year, including the Bear Color Run, International Night, Polar Express Night, Sweethearts Ball, STEM Night and Skate Night. Over the course of the school year the PTA raised nearly $70,000. These funds were used to purchase additional technology, playground equipment, classroom supplies, books, and materials to support PBIS.
- Freemans Mill Elementary School was recognized by the Georgia Department of Education with Operational status for its implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) in the last school year. PBIS encourages positive behaviors with recognition for students who exhibit appropriate school conduct.
