- The Ivy Creek PTA set a goal of raising $40,000 to purchase new playground equipment. With the help of Ivy Creek families, they were able to far exceed this goal allowing the PTA to purchase bigger and better playground equipment for the students to enjoy.
- Ivy Creek implemented Play 2 Learn and Little Learners Academy for the first time. Play 2 Learn and Little Learners Academy are programs for young children—ages birth to - 5. Children and parents and other adults in the family learn TOGETHER through engaging lesson plans in a high-quality preschool environment each week. Families are empowered to keep the learning going at home so that all children will be ready for Kindergarten!
- With the opening of Seckinger High School, Ivy Creek became part of the Seckinger Cluster of schools. The theme of the cluster is Artificial Intelligence. The cluster schools work together to give all students, K-12, the skills students will need for jobs of the future.
- The second cohort of Dual Language Immersion (DLI) students have successfully completed the K-5 DLI program. In the DLI elementary school program, students spend half of the school day learning in English and the other half learning content areas in the target language of Spanish.
- The annual Holiday Feast at Ivy Creek was a tremendous success! The Holiday Feast is held each November and it is a time where families can join their children for a special holiday meal in a festive environment. This year, over 1600 adult meals were served in addition to our student meals.
- Ivy Creek Elementary School was recognized by the Georgia Department of Education with Operational status for its implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) in the last school year. PBIS encourages positive behaviors with recognition for students who exhibit appropriate school conduct.
