  • Minor's Saturday Shining Readers program provided reading strategies to K-1 students.
  • Minor promotes and rewards positive behavior and expectations through Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
  • Minor's Career Fair introduced students to career associated activities with guests representing many of our career sectors including law enforcement, medicine, civic leadership, trucking and many more.
  • Minor’s Parent Center instituted two Play to Learn programs to teach parents learning activities can do at home with younger children to help prepare them for kindergarten. Classes were also provided to parents on various topics.
  • Minor sponsored a variety of clubs including Chorus, Art design, P.E., Readers Rally, Girls on the Run, ASL, Yoga, Coding and the First Lego League.
  • Minor’s Reading Recovery continues to lead the county average for raising students to grade level reading expectations.
  • Minor students in grades 3–5 participated in an Extended Learning Time program.
  • Minor raised money for an Elementary School in Lagrange who had been affected by tornadoes.
  • Minor Elementary School was recognized by the Georgia Department of Education with Operational status for its implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) in the last school year. PBIS encourages positive behaviors with recognition for students who exhibit appropriate school conduct.
